I’ve been meaning to put together a list of recommended website audit tools for a few months now. Today I was wondering why a website I was auditing didn’t have the Secure badge and padlock icon in the address bar, even though the site had an SSL certificate.
This led me to discover Why No Padlock?, a simple tool which quickly told me why the website didn’t have the padlock icon.
Since discovering this tool, I’ve pulled together my recommended list of website audit tools, which covers everything from SEO, to security, to content analysis and server performance. If you have anything else to add to this list, let me know in the comments!
